| Senior Executive Forum 2010: A forum focusing on the strategic and leadership challenges faced by senior leaders in the next 3 to 5 years |
|

 |
The Leadership Consortium, one of Australia’s most respected leadership development organisations, plays a key role in the learning and development of current and future leaders.
For almost 20 years we have been designing and delivering leading edge executive learning and development programs to senior leaders in private and public organisations.
The Consortium is a member-based organisation with a blend of public and private membership. Our current membership includes: AGC, Australia Post, Australian Taxation Office, Boral Limited, CitiPower / Powercor, Dept of Finance & Deregulation, Geoscience Australia, IBM Australia Limited, Medibank Private, National Australia Bank, Roads and Traffic Authority, The Shell Company of Australia Ltd, Victorian Public Service (several departments and authorities).
Continuing our tradition of providing excellence, the Consortium is proud to offer the Senior Executive Forum (SEF), which is a leadership development program with a difference. Part briefing, part personal journey, the program delivers rich, insightful strategic information.
The Senior Executive Forum
Previous Forums have proved highly relevant for our members due to their exciting and challenging blend of strategy, tactics and forecasting, and for the market opportunities and business directions they crystallise.
The SEF brings together senior leaders from the Consortium’s member base in a challenging environment that helps them learn from each other and from respected global specialists on leadership.
The SEF focuses powerfully on the major strategic issues that our members face. It builds comprehensive and detailed perspectives on change that enable participants to take away clear actions and strategies for leading their organisations into the future.
Target Audience
This program is designed for the most senior executives and strategic thinkers in our member organisations who are directly accountable for the long-term success of their organisations.
Typical titles of previous participants include:
- Group Manager
- General Manager
- National Manager
- Senior Legal Counsel
- Director.
The Senior Executive Forum deals with key leadership capabilities (highlighted in red) demanded of those in the most senior positions.
Program format and style
The Senior Executive Forum is not like any other strategic briefing you will find in Australia. It is both intimate and far-reaching.
The differences start with the speakers: nationally recognised voices on leadership that share their perspective on present hot button issues and near future indicators.
The Forum steers clear of large plenary sessions, which means participants will be able to talk with the experts one-on-one and in small groups to ask them about things that matter to them.
Over three days, the Forum brings in a wealth of voices from other sectors as well as the commercial. The arts, health and demographics, history and futures modelling, research and development – all these are represented in table and panel discussions that allow participants to engage in depth with the issues that make a difference to their business and stakeholders.
Program Leaders
Our highly-qualified expert team of facilitators is always a major success component of the Forum.
As the detailed content of the SEF is co-designed with our members, our facilitation team changes from year to year to reflect the specifics of the themes our members give us.
The facilitators for this program are Debby King-Rowley and Jil Toovey, two of Australia’s most experienced consultants and executive coaches
Debby has worked in the field of learning and development for over thirty years, specialising in global leadership development in multinational companies for over half those years.
Jil has had over twenty years experience working in both academic and corporate settings, focussing essentially on individual leadership, leadership teams, emotional intelligence, strategic planning and cultural change.
